Working with Alexander was a pleasure. He took direction well and produce and delivered his dialog for the drama professionally and to scratch. With other actor’s he played off there energy and there line, Which helped him deliver his spot on.

Part – Secretary Helen

holly new

I’m a hard working person, enthusiastic and very committed in everything I try. I am always willing to try out new things and to further my knowledge. I can be nervous at first but I soon ease into things. I have recently just past Level one British sign language, and I’m currently studying Level two. I hope you find the information you’re looking for on my profile, if you would like to know anything or have any question feel free to message me. (Star now, 2018)

Holly Did well with getting into the character of Helen, to start off she did find some words in the script difficult to say and had spoken to the team saying she was dyslexic. However when going over some lines a couple of times she manged to deliver most of her all of her lines well. When she was not thinking about it her dialog flowed well. Would recommend for other other drama and voice acting.

Chris Shepherdson

Part – Mr Smith and Head Master

17621871_770220913146774_3115385521906100602_o

With coming into the studio, first impressions where that Chris might be timid with recording and delivering the lines that where given but also how he was delivering lines for 2 characters that where alot older then his own voice range. When running through Chris calmed himself and thought about what he was able to do with playing his character’s. Mic went live and what hes did baffled the team and other actors. With using different ascents, the pitch of his voice he was able to delivery amazingly and surprise use.

Jess Wrightson

Part – School Girl 1

25550176_10215762364318438_6987673041668661029_n

Jess showed confidence and took instruction well. She understood the role she was playing and was able to easily fit into it.

Her line where recorded on a phone due to timing and also not being able to book out the studio before leaving Lincoln to go home. With the quality not being fantastic then the other actors being recorded in a controlled space.

COMPLIANCE-FORM

Budget/Billing

During the production phase of the drama we decided that we would try and keep our budget and costings to a minimum meaning that we advertised and casted the roles making sure to mention that is will be unpaid but we, as a team, were willing to pay for certain things such as food, drink and travel. We only needed the actors for one day of recorded which helped to minimalise the costing but on that day we made sure to supply the actors with bottled water and pay for their lunches (approx. £10 per person) when we took a break midway through the day. Alongside food and drink we also offered to pay £30 per person towards their travel and parking within Lincoln but we managed to sort out on site parking, free of cost, and as the actors we acquired did not have to travel very far they were okay with paying the travel expenses themselves without financial help with us.

Copyright

As our piece draws inspiration from the original 1938 radio broadcast of The War of The Worlds, an adaptation of the H.G. Wells novel of the same name we went into the creation of the project being vary wary of the piece breaching copyright laws. However, the original novel is no longer copyrighted due to production of our piece being over 70 years after the passing of the author meaning that any work of his is no longer protected under certain laws, so there are no issues with creating this drama if it were broadcast for the UK and this issue was looked into prior to this proposal. The problem that we still have to look at is that the copyright for the original War of the Worlds novel may still be in place in other countries and Siren Radio can be accessed worldwide through the online player.

Within our piece there is a large use of both sound effects and music in order to provide realism and atmosphere to the drama. As a whole all of the sound effects that have been used in the drama have been recorded by a member of the production team and those that were unable to be recorded were acquired from royalty free websites meaning that we were allowed to use them without having to get permission from the original creators. Alongside the sound effects, there were multiple instrumental pieces of music used within the drama which were all acquired from royalty free websites also meaning that they were free to use, did not require any permission also and were usable if the drama was to be aired on a radio station such as Siren FM or Brayford Radio.
